    Default Different Generation 3SGTE Interchangable parts

    Hey,

    Ive got a whole load of spare parts here from a gen2 3sgte and gen1 3sgte and was thinking I have that much spare that I might be able to put together another engine with it but need to know a couple things first;

    Can you;
    Put a gen 2 headgasket on a gen 1 block/head?
    Put gen 2 std rod bearings into gen 1 rods?
    Put gen 2 pistons onto gen 1 rods?

    Many thanks.

    you can even interchange drivetrain parts between Gen2 and Gen3, but that's another story.

    Cheers Guys....

    Also, can you put a Gen 2 3sgte crank into a Gen 1 3sgte block??

    Do oil seals fit main and rear? Or are there any possible issues to look out for??

    Thanks again.
