Drift Practice, Winton Sunday 29th July

Hey Guys,

I'm sure a lot of you already know but there is a drift practice day next weekend held by Vicdrift at Winton Raceway.
I wont post all details here go to www.vicdrift.com if you need more info.

So who's coming? Driving or not it would be great to see the toyota community represented. Hen (gold AE86) although not driving, Allister (red franks footwear sponsored AE86) and myself (light blue AE86) will be attending so come and say g'day and enjoy a great day out!

whats the go with winton and roll cages?

does the cage need to be cams appoved ? for the car to be able to enter?

i've heard a few rumors

No. No need for a CAMS approved cage at drift events. Just as long as it appears safe to the scruntineers (and that is not terribly difficult) then you are fine.

make sure you have a fire extinguisher, non synthetic long sleeves and pants too and a helmet of course.

thanks man, a bit inconsistent though. i totally screwed up the top 16! mega understeer into the 2nd judged corner!
Was a great day though, had an absolute ball!

Congrats to Allister to for changing his box in 2 hours just in time to win the comp!! I thought i'd better follow his lead later in the day by destroying my t50 also.

And thanks to Hen and all of the other volunteers from Vicdrift for running such a great event.
