    Heres Ryan's (Major Clod) seats.
SW20 seats....you'll have to ask him bout how to fit em tho. But thats prolly most likely the way i'll be going in the near future.

looks good to me... what i wanna know is, how is the seat height? looks like it's a fair bit higher then the standard seats... i'd like to find seats which are as low if not lower...

personally, i am quite happy with the stock seats... its just they are impossible to find in good condition.

ive been offered a black passanger one in perfect condition for 80 bucks, but then i'd need to get the drivers one reupholstered and its just too hard to find matching vynal

i was hoping there'd be a car with similar seats that just bolt on.

    oooo, thanks...

maybe i could head on over to autobarn a bit later and pick up some bucket-but-not-racing seats :S

but i just picked up a pair of seats, their not terribley great but i guess i can pull them apart and use their bits on my seats.

no one seams to like the stock celica seats... whats so bad about them? lol

when i had the 22.. the stock vinyl seats were awesome. looked good, were pretty damn comfy as well. just the vinyl finish wasn't the best in the heat. and with no a/c, yeah well.. you can imagine.

The stock seats just dont hug enough for me. Even when they are re-upholstered with bolstering. Also they dont have the adjustments that later model seats do. I was actually looking at a pair of ZZT231 seats on e-ghey and was wondering how good side airbags would be in my RA23

Otherwise, the position of the seat recline lever is quite novel and I do like it. I will be trying to retrofit them to whatever seat I end up getting.

I was thinking more like fitting proper sensors and running them through a PIC... but hey, a switch on the side would be easier eh??

owen - just remember... side air bags are not something you get 2 chances with... it's kinda like testing hand grenades by pulling the pin... but if the seats your talking about are the ones i think your talking about... then they'd definatly look hot in the '23... would be sweet to see...

yeah... Ill see what happens when it comes time to look at seats. Currently my main consideration is SW20 or ST205 seats. Might have to go and have a look at a few cars, take them for test drives even and see which I like more.

All will be documented. Even if its not a running documentation, the finished product will be shown with guides and how to's etc. There will be a few secretive bits, but that will mostly be to do with the security system. The rest of it I will be happy to show.
