Default possible to run engine without pressure dampner on fuel rail.

on my current set up this fouls on the intake. would it be ok to put a strait through fitting. and put the dampner on the fuel filter side.
or are there any thinner ones that would fit into a gen 1 3sge fuel rail on a gen 2 3sge engine.

A common mod on the JZA80 is to remove the dampener altogether when upgrading the fuel system. No idea on the specifics of the 3s setup, but I can't imagine there'd be huge issues with just removing it.

its fine to just remove them, they are a dampener but from memory they are also non return and there main purpose is to hold pressure in the rail so the pump doesnt have to build pressure before the engine starts.

you may notice when its removed it may take a couple of seconds longer to kick over but its no major biggie.

The dampener helps the engine run smoother, especially at low load/rpm, but it makes no real difference to performance. The 2JZ guys remove it when running big power because it becomes a restriction to fuel flow.
