    Default landcruiser box questions.

i am the proud owner of an f 100. i am in the planning stage of doing a diesel conversion on it. i plan to use a 4bt cummins. i would like to use a diesel landcruiser ( 60/75 series.) gearbox behind it. this is an H55F trans going by the plate on the car. is there any option among the dyna/coaster gearboxes to make this gearbox 2wd ? i would like to keep the floor shift, but do away with the transfer case.
so much stuff. so little time.

i would like a floor shift gearbox. making some sort of cable/linkage setup will be a headache.

I would contact EATON as they do all sorts of gearboxes from 5sp light truck to 16sp monsters, i think you might find that Dyna/Coaster gearboxes apart from the Auto models would be 6 speed or 8 with PTO, i would think they are not suitable for this conversion (prick to drive a daily F100 with a light truck box)

The 80 series cruiser boxes are pretty damn tuff, i have seen a few guys put them in GQ patrols and even 100 series cruisers for high comp level 4WDing,

Maybe an old ACCO V8 box might do the job if you can find one and mod it to fit
