Removing 32mm from a W5x Bellhousing would be far easier than finding a 2JZ-GE Bellhousing IMO...

Its 32mm plus the thickness of the adaptor plate, so you'll be looking at a figure more like 50mm.

Finding a 2JZGE bellhousing is piss easy. Toyota make them, and stock them.

Sorry, I should've worded that as Cheap 2JZ-GE Bellhousing...

But, yeah 50mm would probably be too much...

Or put a 32mm (or whatever's required) spacer between the flywheel & crank to move the flywheel further out.

I would have to say that I'm really not a fan of using spacers on high speed moving parts...

Could be a disaster waiting to happen...

32mm is probably too much, but I have seen it on many a conversion which are used in more rugged conditions than this (though high RPM launches at the drags are pretty hard core), but what's the difference between this and a custom flywheel?

A custom flywheel wont have 50mm long bolts to snap and its only one piece. Please remember murphys law when you modify driveline or brake components.

Yes, tis true. Also, there'd be no room to use 2 sets of bolts offset (which is the way I was thinking, but now realise the folly of my ways)

The other solution could be to use a very wide spigot bearing that sticks out rearward from the middle of the flywheel.
Though finding one about 60 or 70mm wide would be a mission and a half

but for the clutch plate to be on the flywheel at the same time it would be over the spigot!

have been researching and so far i cant find a 3RZ that had a R series box from factory.

this adaptor would be a good option. similar to peewee, i only want to spend a couple hundred or less for a kit.

linden, have you approached any engineering places and told them you will supply detailed drawings of thicknesses, sizes, alloy grades etc?

and if you run a buisness i think it would worth investing in (stocking a few) if there is nothing on the market already

I have tried twice to come up with some thing as I to wanted to retain my push clutch etc.
I called or emailed everyone I knew and any people surgested to get the same answer over and over.

I did how ever find a guy in NZ who would make a whole new casting but he needed a w5* bell housing that suited your engine before he could even guess at a cost. I never went through with it and now sold the box.

What I would like is a billet input shaft to suit standard configuration as its my mine problem. Stuff paying 6-8k for a dog gear set.
