ok, all this stuff about what the letters stand for is way off topic but for the best list:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Toyota_engines

and then there are links to all the engines and stuff with lots of info!

anyway i kind of agree jojo, not much point turboing a 4A-C

thats the one i mentioned before, i CBF'd re-reading it all but didnt lawson go through like 3 or 4 engines cos he kept blowing them up??

i recon just get a 100kw 4age - way more bang for buck there.

    Just throw in a 4AGZE.
Far less grief, far more reliability, far more fun.

Just weld all the plumbing together to the turbo and then weld it to the top of the factory aisin carb or better yet use PVC and plumb weld that setups bound to work.
This guy i know told me so......

Mwahaha! Yeah, 7 rib block with the 42mm rod journals & 20mm piston pin. In my experience, anyway! Note to the wise- don't buy pistons until you KNOW whats in your block...

The 4A-TC will very likely go better than the 4A-C. If you have the turbo, a bit of common sense and the ability to manufacture the manifold & other stuff you need for very little, do it! After all, ppl turbo 186 Toranas... but if its going to cost money, I'd recommend against it.

    Good luck!

I had a tercel with a 4age that featured pvc and plumb wield on the induction side. you may knock it but its been going for 4 years like that with no dramas so far, was easy to do and flows like a a bastard
