i doubt there is any specific safety issue with the car design and construction. its better built than a LOT of shite from that era.

yeah the commode, if i put a rollcage in the supra it would mean i'd lose the interior and isnt it illeagle in street cars? btw i hate volvo's, even though they could almsot plough through a sherman tank.

not illegal.. just needs to be engineered. And yes, you'd lose your rear seats if you were to put a half-cage in.
But look at all the previous posts... supras are not a particular risk to occupants - their low crash safety rating probably had something to do with their good ability to kill/maim pedestrians (who we don't care about anyway, right?)
