Anyways, with any of the simple 'defenders' the ECU just goes full rich so fueling is oversafe if anything. Timing doesn't get retarded though so that's the biggest concern.

I'd be inclined to stick with 14psi and maybe just do a zener diode boost cut mod so you don't hit the cut on cold nights. Safe enough and about as far as you want to push with the stock ECU and topmount IC.
Correct, JDM GT-FOUR with stock ECU, however I have the St205 WTA setup.

Are you saying run a maximum 14psi boost, or raise the fuel cut to 14?

    Cheers

My suggestion is to run your boost @ 14psi....it'll creep on cold nights so you still need the zener diode so you don't hit the cut. The occasional creep above 14 will be safe enough.

With the JDM ECU your timing will be more aggressive so you need to be a bit more conservative than the local product. Only 98 fuel of course

hehe yeah I feed it a constant diet of 98 (bp Ultimate) or 100 (shell) octane anyway. I mabe the mistake of 96 once when I wasn't paying attention and I wont do that again
