    Hi Rod.
We were very hapy with it too.
Rohan, one of the new guys in the CCG. He only recently swapped it over to ACT rego. Has 2TG and is being well looked after. Was it a 2TG back when you looked after it?then
    Cheers

    Mitch,

I helped my best mate build that car from Scratch. We found it in a padock in the blue mountains as a straight and rust free rolling shell. Full repsray, full rewire, all new runing gear, retrimmed the works. You don't wanna know what was spent on it !

The 2TG was completely rebuilt but we had it running on dedicated LPG, hence why the spare tyre well is missing. The boot used to house two 15" subs and a massive sound system. The interior, wheels tyres, brakes etc as you see it there were all done at no expense spared as he was building his dream car. I actually entered the car in Summernats 15 when my TA22 wasn't ready in time. Its featured in the video for that year.

Unfortunatly life being life chris had to sell it a few years ago and we lost track of it when the guy who bought it had a minor bingle and started dicking with the engine

Its really great to see it in the Classic Celica group where it will get looked after. I saw it on ebay a few times so gave up hope on it being saved. Chris will be wrapped its still out and about.

    Hey everyone,

What a fantastic turnout on Saturday!!!! That was amazing, and totally blew my mind... like Mitch said ive been dreaming and nagging about doing that for years, but never thought we'd be able to get that many along! Thanks so much to everyone for making the effort to get out there and turn some heads, that was a real site to see and a lot of onlookers were really impressed.

Im happy to copy cds, and make a compilation of photos, if everyone wants to send them to [email protected] i can start sorting through them, and maybe even make copies for all those involved depending on interest. Thanks heaps to Stitt and Seb for the great footage, and to Mitch for helping me get the word out. Steve, Rodger, Fonzi, and Tim the rookie also made huge efforts to come along so thanks for that. A lot of guys were pretty upset they couldnt make it for various reasons, gordo, jamie, colin, grant... so i would love to do it again possibly in Spring or early Summer and see if we can't crack the magic 20, or 25. All the boys on the Newcastle trip have got something to prove now

DynoDay was great too, got some cool footage of that skitzo Supra, so ill post them up if i get time. Coming up soon... beer o'clock and the ski trip August 11... and as far as cruises, we'll be having a "Toyota" cruise for all the guys. So Shane, Phil L, Justin you guys all gotta show your crazy machines if you are available. Will get back to you on details and specifics. Thanks again guys... cant wait til the next event!!

    -Curly.

Hey everyone, good to see so many classics on the weekend (I really didn't think there were that many on the road in Canberra).

    Anyways...
I've completed the posed car shot at the National Museum and will posted a low res preview soon - the original is 2 metres long, 700mb large and took two days to stitch together

I'll have a chat to Mitch and we may do something special eg poster with the image. Let me know what you guys (and Gals) think.

    Seb

    ps. more pics coming soon.

    Poster/banner as promised...

A higher Res image can be seen via the link below

    http://www.whitephoenix.com.au/images/ccg_banner.jpg

Also if you just want a copy of the 2 metre image send me a blank CD and I'll burn you a copy (it's about 700mb, so I don't think I'll be emailing it to anyone )

    Cheers

Hey DQIKST ... you gotta remember we're in Canberra... a total population of 400,000... you guys are from NSW, a total population of probably 8 million... so if we got 19 (shouldve been at least 22) and you guys got 23 ... i reckon CCG's whippin your butt!
haha, kinda unfair advantage seeing as how many people live in your cities.

Matt... will be planning a small cruise with the 23s in the next 2 weeks or so, so ill let you know about that.

    Neways ceya!
