Probably not mate. He is a pretty busy bloke, especially during the race season. I think he only has a limited window of time at the moment too as he is off to london for another series race event. It would be nice though, group buy of ally custom tanks for a few slabs....

there was a street machine article on this very thing just recently, i have just scanned it, there are 3 jpg files, each one is just over 3 meg big.
send me your email and i will send you the pages.
in a nutshell though you temporarily weld a nail to the surface of the tank, then pull up on the nail.
done gently this will tease the dent upwards.
attack the tank first with the sander to remove the protective coating on it.
you can use multiple nails to pull up bigger sections.
Avoid doing it lots as you can overstress the steel

    no need to open tank
no need to drill into tank.

personally the wrecker is the best method, i picked up a tank from a wrecker for a corona/ra65/ra40 for less than 40 bucks.
the effort to raise the dent will be more in theoretical labour costs of your own than just picking up another from a wrecker.

replace the tank. Any repairs will weaken the steel, and it may no longer meet ADR pressure requirements. Any risk of the tank rupturing at a later stage is a bad idea IMO. If you can get a replacement from a wrecker, even if it seems a bit exxy, it will save a lot of mucking about, and will reduce the risk of future mishaps.

On the same note, I am up for a slab paid alloy tank if anything becomes of that... though I am working on my own sources of such goodies.
