Q: Coil & igniter for 1GGE gen2

I have a Gen 2, 1G-GE, map sensor motor with T-vis, with no coil & igniter

Is there any other motors i can use one from

i have looked at 5M-GE with a two wire igniter, it also has the same color wires.

can this be used ? or will only 1G-GE do ...
Dose some one have the, id.numbers or codes
any help is good, thank's

Mate if it clips up it may well work.

I had ignition probs with my GZE. In mucking around i found that the waste spark 7MGTE igniter is the same as the 1GGZE apart from the sticker & part numbers on the front.

You wont hurt the ECU trying the igniter.

Some one has done some shitty work on the loom i have

so i'm doing a rewire Hence No plugs..

I have looked at both the 5MGE & 1GGE ECU's, & the components on the boards are slightly differant..

being only a two wire system, one would think they would be the same.

The trigger sense to the igniter from ECU will be low voltage - like 5V, on either one.

The coil matches the igniter.

Either the dwell will be right or it wont. Try it & measure the dwell.
