You are most likely missing the blue colored indicator canceler. The space between the 2 pins should be enough for the indicator ball to sit in the middle once installed, around 2 cm.
Hello toymodders!
I was wondering if anyone knew or could measure the size and location of the notches for the indicator returns on the underside of the ta22 steering wheel?
I've just bought a 22 and the guy i got it from put on an aftermarket wheel and boss on it and now the indicator won't return after turning. He also got rid of the stock wheel so i cant measure them... I could just buy a new boss, but i like power tools![]()
Cheers,
Doug

Need pics. Have no idea what this is suppose to look like or where it should go?
have the same problem with my celica, but I've just been living with it. heh.
I don't have any pics, because the car is currently up the coast in my dads shed waiting for me to get some time and go give her some TLC.

there's some pics here of the base of the bosskit from a steeringwheel conversion guide - you can see the notches in the pic in the 10th post, and where the owner drilled the holes out a little bit in post 17. My boss doesn't have the notches in it, so the indicator wont return... From the info i can gather, the position/size of the notches are different for different cars? Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong...
I'll see if i can fix it when i go up in a few weeks to visit my car/family. Alternatively does anyone know how to mark up where the notches are meant to be from the position of the indicator stalk?

that boos kit is for the older type steering column, TA22's have this indicator canceler:
you need the boss kit that doesnt have it's own horn contact as the indicator canceler has it on board. You transfer the indicator canceler on your standard steering wheel to the new boss kit.

Cheers for the info,
So right now I have a mid 90's celica wheel on, which I like, but I don't have the indicator cancellers, well I don't think I do... What can I do?
I'll have to have a look when I get home, overseas at the moment - but can't stop thinking of my car, haha.
