    Default Water from air con???

    Hi All,

I've got a 93 Hilux (22RC) and lately I have been getting alot of water leaking into the passenger footwell. The water is very cold and it is being dumped in irregular amounts (mostly during cornering).

I have a feeling it is condensate building up on the unit, but is there somewhere that this should be draining away to?? Where do I check for blockages?

    Cheers

    James

Normally the condensor box will have a small tube which runs out of the firewall. Look for the tube below the aircon gas fittings on the firewall, it may be blocked. You can probe it with a coathanger, but make sure you do it gently, you dont want to go too far and pierce the core.

yeah my wrx was doing this, it;s the drain hose that connects to the condensor, which comes out the firewall low on the passenger side.

Sometimes a little compressed air can be the go for clearing it out.

My Echo used to do that, It turns out that someone kicked the drain hose loose and everytime I would run the AC it would leak by.

Quick blast of compressed air seemed to clear it out.

Cheers to all for your input
