Have seen many ways, mine might not be best but it worked and has not caused trouble. Have seen some 'interesting' setups!

Its no Supra or a 1J but you get the idea.

It doesnt really matter, so long as there mounted solidly to something metal, try to keep them out of the water and heat as much as you can. In saying that mine are mounted to the block from factory.

Yep alot of people place them there, most that i have seen there are mounted ontop of a bracket to block a bit of direct heat, you could bend up some stainless or alloy easy enough, drill a few holes and bobs your aunty.

I just mounted mine on a plate which I then soft mounted to the fire wall behind the engine.

I didn't like the idea of mounting the coils straight on the engine. I though the vibration would kill them before time.

yer i dont think its vibrations that will kill it. more heat and water. 2 problems the factory units have being in a valley they get pretty hot and crack. also water int too easy to get out so yer i dont think mounting on engine would pose much or a problem, could be wrong but haha.

i was thinking of the firewall mounting but i dunno i think its all the high tension leads and stuff. there just so bulky haha.
