    Default Turbo machining

    Hey all,

Does anyone in Perth know someone that would machine some turbo housings in Perth for next to nix? I've got my Blitz BAG turbos on my 1GGTE which are based off some Gen2 CT12's. As such, they have the smaller feed pipes.

I've like to experiment running the larger Gen3 inlet pipes, and while I could just bolt them on, I can't help but think it'd be a good idea to actually taper the inlet on the compressor housings to port match them.

Of course, I don't want to spend much money to test out my theory.

    Any suggestions?

    Cheers,
    Nathan

anyone with a lathe should be able to do this for you , first mark the cover at the tip of the inducer ( only machine forward of the mark ) then just remove comp covers and get them turnd . if they use a three jaw it should hold the comp cover on the inside face where the back plate sits.

    about $40ea should cover it.

If I was a little closer, I would do them for you for nix.

Good luck anyway, as been mentioned already, and person competent on a lathe should be able to do it.

Can you remove the comp covers with out remove the turbos at all?

By the time I manage to pull the compressor covers I may as well have pulled the turbos off
