oh, and JP, your pic links contain not work safe ads, if your using image beaver, put a warning up, or use image shack etc.

1J's are coil on plug, they have stems, not leads.
like everyone else has said, i had the same symptoms, and it was coilpacks.
are you sure its not one cylinder dropping? or is spark breaking down in all of them?
i replaced 1 of my packs that i thought was faulty, which it was, but another one was as well, turns out one cylinder wasnt firing and it gave the same stumbling/missing symptoms.

Had the same problem over the last week or so. Pulled the coil packs out... 4 out of the 6 were cracked. Glued them back up and all seems to be fine now. Mine wasn't throwing any codes though... just ran like poo at high rpm
Are you running an aftermarket ECU? If not, the capacitors tend to leak and cause all sorts of funny things like this. Could also be the ignitor itself?
Dan
it doesnt throw a code until the problem has been there for a while, since it only happens at high RPM and it rights itself whenever the revs drop, the code doesnt appear. same problem with my AFM on the 7M, whenever i forgot to lpug it back up after doing some work, i would start it, it would run find, i could back up onto the street, and only after i took off and got on boost would it throw a code.Originally Posted by Danners

try disconnecting the battery and resetting the code, then see under what condition it re-appears, if its under boost, while driving around normally (off boost) it works fine, id be looking at ignition (blowing spark out) or map sensor/popped off cooler pipe.
but you've replaced plugs and i assume you checked the coilpacks properly (the cracks can be very easy to miss) so phuck knows.
