so.. kept tugging for a bit last night.. and today a mate had some really small tools to work with, don't mean it in a bad way thanks to edmund (tauhutauhu on toymods) for the tools..

and we tugged and 2 mins later the shit came out... but.... here's pics..

the flat end is what we were holding onto... now the other half should look like this...

and a peek into the distributor showed that the other half is indeed stuck inside there..

thing is, i put the new lead in, and the car still starts... runs the same... so should i just leave it there? or take the cap off and go a bit further? new cap? try to fuck with it some more??

the bottom might be welded in there now
    is it mangled in there?
not all leads have the tapered end like you showed..

i reckon give it a bit of a go...worst thing you could do is feck the cap
if you ar careful with drill bit (1-2mm smaller than hole (the metal hole inside).. you might break it loose.

i have a feeling it is welded in as i've tried to move it with a little metal bit, and it wouldn't move anywhere.. not it's not mangled as i didn't fuck it too hard...

not sure why that's happened.. but it's not leaking any current anywhere now...

oh well... new cap is now on the (non-priority) list...

fair enough.. if there is only a little bit left, and the lead doesn't feel like it will fall out (check occasionally in future?).. be ok for now
