    see, i was thinking more along the lines of...
    since you can hold the cam caps down, without the valve springs pushing them up, then you can torque the cam caps more accurately..
    and you can make sure it is in position and such before making it all tight..

    i should have said, it's a cam installing tool.. not removing

    heavy springs + big lift = cam pushing in funny directions when you try to torque it up?

    meh ive never torqued cam caps and ive done a shit load of them. i think someone from the old forum had a go at me about that once? ohwell never had a problem.

    well if it's a tool to remove/install cams ...how come it doesn't go on top of all the bearing caps ??? me thinks it's some thing to do with something else>>> maybe checking valve timing or lift. Dont think them pissy little springs would hold down cams..just a thought..

    well, the problem with the beemer cams.. is that they are hollow

    and the reason it doesn't go ontop all the caps is... it's a 4cyl version, but if you rotate the cam to a certain spot, the 1 and 6 cyl lobes are not pushing onthe valves.. so you can use the 4cyl version
