anyway i don't really care if it does or not now as it wasn't that expensive and makes a nice place for the harness..
You don't have your harness shoulder straps attached to a floor brace do you?

Erm no, they're a REALLY BAD place to put the harness!
If you have a decent prang, they will pull down on your shoulders and seat, and you run a greatly increased of compression fracture of the spine.
    Ditch that ASAP mate!
Harnesses over-the-shoulder need to go only slightly down and be short.

    no no...

over shoulder belt is hooked onto the rear end..

the floor brace holds the seat belt that goes across the waist...

i got a 6 point harness... and atm we're prototyping the mounting places..

I thought I had better ask first and not assume what you had done with your harnesses

    +

    = 6 point..

and it's either the lower half of the 4 point belt or the crotch belt that i'll hook onto the floor brace

    Why not both?

    Assuming the angles are right?

hey guys looking at improving the handling on my TA22. just read through the post, and have understood that a three point front strut brace (with out rose joints, and meet at the strut tower, not a bracket off the strut tower) would make a considerable difference. also a rear sway bar to keep the back resonsive, (diff - body of the car). is this correct, does anyone have any other suggestions.

    Cheers Jamie

what you describe should help at the front, but the brackets to the top of the struts arent such a bad thing as they directly attatch to the top of the struts which is one thing youre trying to keep consistant.

just clarifying. the strut brace a the front. (strut-firewall-strut) will do the job for handling and such. but if it has the bracket (not rose joints) it will still do the job well.

would i need to get both for the set up to go well. ie rear sway and front strut brace, or would the front strut do the best work. with the back more of a luxury.

    cheers mate. Jamie

the verdict is out on that one, I am thinking of unbolting my rear anti roll bar as I think it might help
