Thanks Ryley and Celicaboy !! Yes The lip does add a nice line to the front of the car well worth the effort .
Brakes .. SS lines and new rotors and pads until I can source and afford the BBK and Simmons wheels ..God I love those wheels just so expensive to get here . i've pretty much blown the budget for this year but maybe next winter I can upgrade the brakes and get some nice wheels. Just can't do one without the other

suspension ..I have KYB's on now and Dobi springs but would like to go coilovers and again so many options and not enough cash . The adjustable sway bars are another nice upgrade but this year i'm taking it easy and making sure the engine and driveline are smooth and trouble free . This is new tech for me and I still have a lot to learn about this engine and tuning so for now i'm focusing on getting a solid body and healthy powerplant.
    Cheers

I started on the rims today . If I can't buy the ones I want then I might as well put some effort into the ones I have . I'm very happy with the results for a 25 year old rim it turned out pretty good

Well guys after 3 weeks of looking at a running 1J in the garage I had to take it out yesterday for a little run.The paint job is a few weeks away so I just had to take her out for a spin before final prep before the paint flies . . Well after a few highway runs going up through the gears nice and easy i decided to give it a hard pull in 3rd . Holy shit I love it !!! Pulls like a frighttrain and as smooth as butter but I think I hit fuel cut !! Well I get home and check the Profec peak Boost reading ....15.3 I set my Greddy Profec B spec2 controller for 13 psi in hopes of keeping my twins together for a while .. so anyway what the hell am I doing wrong ?? I set the warning at 13 and the limiter to 20% so in my mind I shouldn't have reached 15.3 .... I hooked it up correctly after checking over and over so i'm stumped ...any help guys ???

Also I have a Jza70 stock ecu and fuel cut left alone so is the stock fuel cut 15 psi . Opinions on this vary but most say between 14 and 15 . I'm not looking for mega power just happy ( for now ) to have a reliable 1J that won't boost too high and shit out turbos . Thanks for any advise or suggestions ...it's all new to me at this point

You know how the limiter works in them? What is your set % at? I assume it is about 25% or something. You want to set the limiter to a bit under your set value. I don't know why it wouldn't have gone into warning above 13psi though? I have just installed the same controller in mine and took it for first run today with just 0 set so like the controller wasn't there. warning set to 1.2 bar, peak of 1.05bar which matches up perfectly with my microtech datalog so AFAIK the map sensors in these are very accurate.

Thanks Chris !! Keep in mind i'm not a 1J expert and i'm apparently the first in Canada to do this swap in a MA61 and the closest 1J is 1800km's away so please understand this is all new to me . The controller .. I set it to 0 , the gain at 2 the limiter at 20 % and the warning at 13 . I have no idea where I should be in terms of safe boost levels for my turbos with the mods I have so I wanted to keep it under 15psi. I'm going through the manuel again now and I just noticed it stats " This unit cannot lower the boost any lower than stock boost level " Some say the jza70 was 15psi but I thought it was 10psi . Can you clear that up for me? If 15 psi is the case then well its working I guess but i'm hitting what I believe is fuel cut or the rev limiter ( no Tach yet) . I really didn't want to push the twins hard but it's kinda diffucult as i'm hitting 15 psi at 1/4 throttle in 3rd. . Hmmmm time for a fcd I suppose but I don't want to blow my turbos . Any suggestions would be very helpful !! BTW after my spirited ride this morning it now has a peak of 19.3psi I'm going to blow my shit up so I gotta get this figured out so it's back in the garage for now

Oh sry ...We drink real Beer in Canada ( well NFLD Anyway ) and find it to be one of our main exports to the U.S This is my fav and it tips the scales at 6% alc.
