Hi all !! I just wanted to say thanks to you guys and Toymods for all the helpful information . I can't tell you how many times i've been stuck and came here to get the answers I needed within minutes. I became a member but don't post much mainly because I have much to learn and at this point not a lot to add You guys rule when it comes to tech and support for the people that need it , this is something that gets lost across the water and becomes a shooting gallery on other forums . Once again thanks for sharing !!

O.k. so I started this project on Jan 1 07 and now i'm a few days from startup . The 82 body needed some major body repair as rust is actually made in Nfld . and we ship it around the world so my car had it's share . Another thread for that mess so this is all about the 1J .

1J arrives with a R154 tranny and complete harness with all sensors and ecu



time for 2j water pump , tbelt , cam seals, thermostat, pcv, crank seal, etc etc thanks for the info on part numbers



Bonneville mounts ( again cheers for that )



Spec stage 3 + ( thanks Norbie for the advise )



R154 tunnel mod and auto tranny crossmember info



exhaust was fun I had to mate a MKIII y pipe /downpipe to the Ma61 exhaust . Took a few attempts to get it right . ZW Ypipe / 3" SS Raptor racing exhaust / Magna flow 14815 muffler

I decided to avoid cutting the harness by going through the firewall




Bosch 984 pump and 3/8 lines



Well that gets me to the IC and piping . Godspeed 24x11x3.5 " with 2.5 " piping . I had to chop off the original rad mounts in order to run the piping like I wanted so I said what the hell and made an aluminum plate to hold the rad and add some bling ..hehe
Made a power steering line by cutting the original 1J fitting and the 82 rack fitting . Drilled countersunk the fittings in the new line and weld it up .
Installed the cressida lip the same day and some used fans for the rad





So after 5 1/2months of this i'm finishing the wiring in the next few days. I had to seek help from an automotive electrician on that as I just didn't trust myself to be honest . The body work is done and the final sanding before paint is what i'm doing today . Sorry for an all in one post but I had some time so figured get er done cause I owe you guys a huge THANK YOU !!! I hope you like the setup and I guess you guys are partly responsible for getting me this far

Thats looking awsome, i read through your picture post on cs.com a week back and thats a nice big garage! And don't ya just love a clean engine too

Thank You ! Between building this garage , the car restoration and the swap I feel like a chicken with his head cut off .I finished the garage Dec 20th and started the car Jan 1 now I can't turn around without seeing something that needs to be done It's all comming along nicely though and i'll get back to finishing the little things with the garage when I can get the car out . Sooo close now !!
