1jz auto box has issues?

I just finished a 1jz conversion and now i think my auto box has some issues, when you drive the car normal it shift gears very hard but when you put your foot down it shift nicely, also seems to shudder a bit on take off from a stand still. anyone have any ideas?
oh and its a jzx81 setup.

does it need the toyota type 4 fluid???
stiff uni joint or driveline angle

has the toyota type 4 in it, the shudder seems more from the box, but what worries me most is the really hard shifting at lower speeds

Have you played around with the auto line pressure cable that runs off the throttle. It's probably set really tight, or it might be stuck. I know my one got stuck, wouldn't release back, and it chirped on gear changes with stuff all throttle.
