    Interesting info!

I recently discovered I have a couple of large PC fans lying around which I have no use for, I suppose there's not much to be lost by installing them to see what happens? If they die they die, if they live all the better!

At work we have an excess of computer fans. I'll try and get a pic of what we do with them.

Norbs... just make sure you fuse em separate, dont want them to shit emselves and take out your ECU.

motorbike fans would be the go.

there are some real small ones out there and ofcourse they are weather and temperature proof.

computer fans may go soft under the temps and in an extreme case, turn into a rotating blob of plastic.

sure the oil coming out of the cooler is hot but how hot? can you borrow a infared heat gun to measure it? every oil has an ideal operating temperature

how are you going to wire the fan? might be best to connect it to the existing thermo fan circuit so it doesnt take ageeeees to warm up.

I'd assume an oil temp thermostat is going to be used?

No thermostat, I deemed it unnecessary given the size of the cooler. My decision may yet be folly, but let's wait and see.

Norbs, my little mate, this is what you need.

    A Setrab water-to-oil intercooler.
It'll help warm the oil up faster in the mornings, help keep the oil temp more stable when running, and cool the oil when you're stopped just as you wanted.

The 2JZ already has a water-to-oil cooler, I added the air-to-oil cooler inline.

and if your radiator can't shed the extra heat?

how about having air cooler feeding into the water cooler? when cold, water heats the oil.. when hot, if the air to air does it's job, it can help cool the water

You wouldn't need all this crap if you kept the 5M.

I'm with the bike fan concept.
