Adding to the above comments i would also run the small squat oil filter, not the longer series one. i don't have a part number ...On engine start up the oil pump has to refill the filter, before the engine gets any oil & hence any pressure as well.. Even with anti drain back on the filter,I find the majority of the oil still drains back ..

id rather have the big filter to do a better job, and just put up with the light for 1 or 2 seconds.

DO NOT trust the gauge. etc etc

The light is pretty much useless. It basically means there is NO oil pressure. If it ever comes on you have most likely done (serious) damage to your motor.
