    Default turbo oil restrictor

    howdy peoples
    Now for something completly different.
Im putting a turbo on a six cylinder perkins, and i just need to know what size oil restrictor to run on the inlet to the turbo. the turbo is a T3 of an old saab, and the generator is running around 50psi of oil pressure when hot.
    anybody know?

Go the the garrett website and you can see the specs of each turbo. I think the full 50psi should be fine. If it starts leaking oil and blowing smoke you will have to go back to 35psi. I think the specs will say minimum 29psi when at full load, or something like that.

^^ good article that (in post 18), never seen it before.

when i did my gte i filled the brass fitting that goes into the turbo with solder and drilled a 1.5mm hole in it. i think i seen the 1.5mm mentioned on various threads years ago in different forums.
