oops - i've done this exact same thing before. You didn't back the handbrake shoes off before you pulled the disk off did you? So, when you've pulled the disc off with the puller you've wrenched the handbrake shoes out with it, and probably bent the crap out of the retaining clips at the same time. I tried putting it back together (like you, the clips didn't look too badly bent) but it was making the same kinda sounds that you're describing.
If you pull it apart again, bend the clips back into shape (might need to pop the other rotor off to use the clips on that side as a reference) it should be sweet. On the JZA80 i wound out the cam till the handbrake locked the wheel, then wound it back 8 clicks. Did the same on both sides and it was all good.
88, yeah I'm pretty sure its not the backing plate, its more of a grinding flick (tick tick tick) rather then a constant grind.
Wiso, yeah I just read that in the TSRM then... hopefully that'll do the job. The TSRM says to mark where the disk comes off adn replace it in the same spot... fkd if I know why that'd make a difference but I'm open to anything at the moment
Andy, Fk I hope not. But I'll give it a look so how it goesStill like the biggest dofus. Just wasn't thinking clearly I guess...
On a side note, I should adjust both hand brakes the same yeah? it's gonna take longer then I thought.
