    FYI, I have a confirmed answer - AE86 and A6 are identical

Ive also found that the gland nuts from a st185 will fit the ae86 strut, when I got my agx shocks I tried the gland nuts from them as people had previously said that they would not work but I found that the thread was fine and the screwed in.

Funnily enough, the reason I needed to know was becasue I am using AGX (rear Mr2) inserts in my coilovers, and the thread of the supplied gland nuts is different.

AGX AE86 gland nuts fit AND perfectly centre the insert (AGX insert is narrower than stock).

Corona RT132 gland nuts and the one that come with Koni 86-2233 strut inserts are not the same, as I found out during my Pug/Hilux/Rona conversion.
    Cheers.
