Just an Update.
Josh is O/S at the moment so this will take a little while but the Dyno Section will be happening soon as he is back on deck.

We can (and will) discuss this at length at Tuesdays board meetings but a couple of quick points. General car talk is for just that, talk/chat and car related social. The tech section is surprisingly for technical content. Putting a thread specifically designed to have "no discussion" in a general discussion section would be like you attending a Holden dedicated car show and trying to enter the Celica. By creating its own section in the Tech area it keeps them together as an readily useable and easy to reference point of comparison for anyone interested in the power output of a particular engine. I am sure many threads will reference graphs and details but thats the whole point. If we see a growth of good solid technical discussion based on an engine types output and it refences the new section then its all the more support for it to be there.
As for the dedicated threads, A Dyno chart reference library as intended/suggested is about the same as the other "dedicated" threads as your car is to an RA40 liftbackAll threads should have a dedicated them and topic but it doesn't make them all the same especially when one is social dribble and teh other is solid tech.
Think of the Dyno threads as more like an EPC of what combinations give what power results (with supporting evidence) while the "dedicated" threads are more like the workshop manual with all the help and descriptions plus crib notes from six decades of school kids written down the side![]()

The dyno results section should be up and running now. I've put mine in there to kick it off. If there are any problems with it let me know.
Top work!
Just posted mine up, but it isn't showing...any ideas?

all new posts in that forum need to be approved by the mods to make sure they follow the template.
just a thought also, maybe put in the sticky thread at the top of the section.
1hp = .75kw as I am sure a lot of people are going to want to ask that question![]()
Or they could just google for a converter. 1st result for 'hp to kw converter' on google;

Um, what about editing our posts in those threads?? I just compiled a post, then realised i could've been a little more accurate about my bottom end.
Can i wait till it's moderated and up, then edit it? Or do i need someone to edit/delete it for me?
(ps If someone is going to get to it before it posts can they please cut and paste it in a pm to me so i don't have to type it all out again??)

I found it quite interesting that so far all the "A" engines were tested on Dyno Dynamics Dynometers..... and that is from at least 6000 miles separated
