MX83 + Koni

Does anyone know the part #'s for Koni shocks, preferably yellow, that will fit MX83 Cressida?

There is no direct easy install koni part, however there are front and rear shocks that can be fitted with minor mods.

1. Front. The early model RAV4 koni struts will fit however the body is 7mm shorter and a spacer needs to be made for the bottom that fits inside the strut housing under the insert. These shocks also have a slightly shorter compressed and extended length which is good for a lowered setup.

2. For the rear you can use the rear struts from a MA70 supra 86-93.
However mods are again required.
The very top of the strut is slightly different. The end of the strut has two flats on the MX83 and only one flat on the Supra strut. So you need to modify either the top spring seat or the strut itself.

Part numbers are

Front 8641 -1319 sport

Rear 8040 - 1064 sport

Yeah, I presumed something like that would be the case.. Spacers etc. are no problem when you're lucky enough to have a lathe
