They are a pain in the ass to track down second hand, took me about two months to get one for a decent price- $450 inc one converter.

I've never had any trouble selling them pretty quick second hand... Don't get too excited about them though, they're nothing particularly special.

well, there's an s440 and B2 vapouriser on ebay for $400 at the moment. there's also an impco 425 and vapouriser for $250. i reckon i'll keep a close eye on the impco. i don't wanna spend too much. anyone had any troubles with stainless steel tanks? there's one out at the local wreckers in a falcon, looks like an 80 litre, pretty big sucker.

make sure you check the expiration on the tank, they gotta be tested every 10 years. costs a bit to get it done. stainless sounds nice
also, theres a reason that the gra is twice the price of the impco

Most important thing with the tank is whether it fits well in the hole... measure up and see. Also, many of those stainless tanks are older units, and have the old school type valves that might prove a problem for testing if it's out of date. A straight test on a simple tank (e.g. later style APA ones) costs $80-$90, but you can be up for several times that if the valves aren't up to scratch.
