give it a go, i love the 3rz's so much low end grunt and torque....then make it something like lances, and have fun!!!
ok, YOU WOULD DEFINATELY need a custom dry sump, or a custrom cross member to get it to sit lower,
i just took the tape measure to the 23, from the tape measure sitting on the cross member to the top of the gurads you have only 550mm height,
you then have to clear the bonnet, and the bonnet frame, so it you had the sumop sitting on the crossmember you would still have 300mm sticking out the top
but thats going from the maximum height of the 3rz that echotec said,
id say have a play around with it, who cares if you need to have a 300mm bulge in the bonnet?

that 800mm also includes the stock manifold and throttle body setup witch runs over the top of the rocker cover
with a custom inlet this height could be reduced
these were just quick measurements but i could get some more accurate one when i lift the motor onto th engine stand later this week
curious? do the 3rz come with diferent sump configuration> ie, rear? mid? front?
how tall is just the shallow part of the sump, to the top of the cam cover?
back to the shed i go

i dont have any answers
but i have first dibs if you get rid of any left over turbo rg bits!
now from the top of the rocker cover to the bottom(lowest part of the sump) is approx 700mm
to the 2nd step of the sump it is 650mm approx
to top of rocker cover
well you would need a rear, or mid rear with a bit of a beating to clear the steering drag link, or even better just convert to a rack n pinion job![]()
not many engine bays would fit the humble 3rz... the 2rz is shorter though with the shorter stroke, it would fit.

how much of a bonnet bulge would an ae 71 have with a 3rz as my old 4a has a valve stem seal problem and this seems like a good way to fix it
i think you know the answer to that question... pull out the tapemeasure![]()
