Mintex 1144 or 1155, I run the 1155's which are very dusty but work from dead cold.

best pad for street... is OEM... next best pad would be Project Mu "NS" Both pads have VERY good cold braking capability....

Agreed! You need to maximise the contact patch of the tyre on the road before going for crazy brakes.Originally Posted by Billzilla

Anchor.
Commodore brake upgrades are generally pretty easy, but as said, don't bother with the RX7 calipers. In my opinion, Greenstuff are a bit average when cold, and regardless of what the box says, they DO mess your wheels up. OEM pads are alright for some cars, but when we're talking Ford+Holden type cars, they're not always too good....
i have never found lucas pads to be bad cold. and they handle heat rather well.
only faded them coming down a mountain. and it was a serious mountain and we were seriously pushing.

Only average for the first stop, don't take much provocation to warm up. And why do you think I have such open rims?Originally Posted by mrshin

What do people think of the Race Brakes pads, the place out at Seven Hills I think?
The times I have gone out asking for a quote on slotting on front celica rotors they would rather just sell me their brake pads.
If its same as NZ, Race Brakes supply Mintex pads. As I said above they are quite dusty but the 1144 and 1155 are great from dead cold.
