Only things going down there are rear speed sensor for abs, neutral start switch and reverse light switch.
Currently pulling the 7m out for a MHG rebuild, and have found some interesting wires which run between intake runners 4 and 5 and down in the direction of the transmission.
Specifically, I'm interested in two round-bodied connectors. One has 3 pins, the other 6. I'm fairly certain these would have gone to an auto at some point, and possibly the rear ABS sensor.
Most of the wires have been chopped on mine due to a manual conversion by the previous owner. If anyone knows the functions of these two connectors, please let me know.

Excellent. Do you know which pins are which?Originally Posted by BlackSupra

The 3 pin connector is probably the N/S Switch (Neutral Start Switch).Originally Posted by Bored?

Pin 2 is Ignition START (Black/White), Pin 3 is NSW (Black) and Pin 1 is position 2 on N/S Switch (Red/Blue)
The 6 pin connector is probably the A/T Indicator Switch.
Looking at the plug, top left is Drive (Red), Ignition (Red/Black), Park (Purple)
Second row, from left is Reverse (Light Green), Neutral (Blue) and Low (Green)
The 7Ms are very much like the 1G's.
Hope this helps.

Peter

hello
Thanks, that is very helpful.
So to get the reverse lights going, I just need to connect the gearbox switch between ignition and reverse (RedBlack and LightGreen).
With the neutral start switch, are there any unintended side-effects caused by just wiring pins 2 & 3 together (and leaving pin 1 disconnected)?
Just wondering if the ECU might change behaviour such as idle speed when the switch is connected. (I don't really care that the car can be started while in gear - sometimes that is handy).
We jumpered pins 1 and 2 on the 1GGZE to fool the ECU into thinking we were in neutral, effectively bypassing the N/S Switch for Auto.Originally Posted by Bored?
