    All sounds feasable.

Do motorcycle carbs have some form of pump jet set up? Motorcycle engines being what they are, change speed far quicker than most car engines so how do they compensate for the lag in fuel flow when the throttle is opened quickly?

I will be curious as to how much it will end up costing. Please keep us informed.

A good set of properly jetted 45 Webers or even 44 Mikunis on a good manifold can be around the $1500 mark.

    Regards

No, unfortunately, which is why you cant use them on a low reving (< 7grand) high displacement (> 500cc cylinder) engine. But i dont know about these specific ones.

Mine have a single pump, and it shares the feed from that to the other three carbies.

Most motorcycle carbs are like SU's anyway, but you can actually GET parts for SU's.
(sorry for rant, im having big problems with a 20yr old bike's single carb atm).

similar to su's, but not the same. most cv bike carbs have an emulsion tube, and a removable main jet. what sort of parts are you after ? alot of different bikes use similar carbs. and one manufacturer sells the parts cheaper than another.

To clear up a few points

They will work fine in corners, i raced quad bikes for years and they are just mikuni 2 stroke carbies and our bikes dont lean.

Some on said about accel pump on bike carbs, All direct actuated carbies have an accel pump as the throttle slide can open so quickly, CV carbs often dont but is not the general rule.

If you where going bike carb route, get carbs that the slide is controlled directly off the throttle and preferably flat slides. This will yeild the most peformance. CV carbs will work but are less responsive

cv stands for constant velocity, The fuel metering is not directly controled by the throttle, throttle is connected to a buttery in the inlet to control air flow. The metering needle then raises as air passes the slide drawing the slide up, hence this is why they are not as responsive
