    Question Alarm wiring

Just picked up a cheapo alarm to last a couple of weeks mainly to deter joyriding bastards who don't want to pay for their own hoon-mobiles. It's a rhino gx (aka model: GA)

I've got a 89 gz20 with 1ggteu... wondering if anyone's installed an alarm in it themselves before? Need a bit of help with wiring. I've got wiring diagrams etc, I just need to know where certain things are located and what they look like and if the soarers use negative or positive switching/triggers/pulse

    1) Ignition input -> the ignition wire (says usually under the steering column in the manual).. anyone know what colour it is?

    2) central locking system -> where do i connect the lock/unlock pulse wires to the existing electronic interface (i.e.... where is this interface)?

Also, are there any side effects from having a turbo timer hooked up as well, like my alarm going off every 5minutes or some crap like that? If so, what should i do?

I'd like to get this thing installed by the end of the weekend, heading for a drive from Sydney to Bega along the coast

Any help would be appreciated, and no, I'm not going to pay to get it installed professionally cause I only paid $20 for the alarm

    Thanks again.

    1) buy a test light.

    2) does your car have a lock/unlock button in the cabin? After you have bought a test light probe the wires at the switch and if the doors lock and unlock, you can use the wires to connect to the lock/unlock trigger wires on your alarm.

Agreed! Rhino alarms are one of the easiest alarms to install
