Bearings are $60 each.
Fluid is what ever you want to spend.
is it worth getting the drop-in kit or is it easier to just get the centre? are the bearings and fluids much more expensive if you just buy the centre?
i want one too![]()

after getting a TrueTrac installed.
centre install, and complete diff rebuild, $576.30
feels so tight to turn by hand. feels like a locker (can't make it break by hand anyway)
can't wait to give it a testing.
sometime after targa west this weekend.

I picked up a second hand truetrac for the Cressida last week, all ready to bolt in. Can't wait to stick it in, only problem is there's not much room at my place to do it...
Oh, & did I mention, I picked it up for just $500?
Also, I'll have a used MA61 LSD up for grabs once the truetrac's in, for those interested. Keep an eye out on the classifieds.
what sort of condition is it in joel?
my brother is sick of eating diffs (2 in the past 3 months)... he was going to go truetrac, but if a good ma61 lsd became available I'm sure he could be tempted![]()
Damnit it was you that snaffled up that Trutrachaha
I could be interested in your MA61 LSDI would be able to pick it up from you when I come get that door. Any idea how much power the MA61 LSD's can handle? What condition is it in?
beasht: they can handle lots (over 200rwkw on my old one), but obviously the more power/torque you put through them, the shorter their life.
edit: and of course, car weight and driving style also significantly affect diff's life![]()
Jeepers, you guys are quick! But Beasht, you just wern't quick enough.
It was sold to me as being a bit worn out, but I've been very happy with it, it's always worked extremely well, & the only reason I'm upgrading is because I couldn't let a truetrac pass for 500 bucks. It's certainly handles 200rwkW with no problems.
Greg, if your bro wants it I can bring it with me at the end of this month. Otherwise, Beasht, it's yours.
haha yeh it was a deal of a lifetime so I dont blame you for snapping it up, all the best with it mate
Oh ok, Im looking for something more towards the 300kw range....
im having trouble with my 4week old true trac atm,,,,,,,,does alot of single spinning and vety unpredictable lock up during hard cornering.....
they want to charge me $200 to remove and replace the centre.....if nothings wrong with the old centre......
dont know what to do atm!
blake
do it... I never had any issues with my true-trac, and I've never heard of symptoms like what you're describing.. sounds like something's fuggered!
Joel.. will let you know later on in the month![]()
