At the beginning of these forums, I went through and repped everyone that I knew was a great resource of technical knowledge and he was one of them (I'm the admin that repped him). Perhaps other people have done the same?
I mean no offense to anyone here, but is that not the complete opposite of the official "new forums" line? - ie. It's a clean slate for everyone and you can't take your previous good reputation with you - it's got to built here?

It's created much unecessary angst but reputation is a good concept, however a bit difficult to implement and not very transparent. I recall some admins/mods having a go at another old(ish) toymods forum member who cracked the shits because his reputation wasn't carried forward and thus didn't have the same priveledges on the new new forum.

But hey, it's the toymods car club forum and of course you have no obligation to abide by any rules except your own - I'm cool with that and grateful for the help/entertainment provided over the years. I'm just not suprised a thread like this exists, and you can probably expect a bit more questioning about why some members got a leg-up and others didn't.

Honestly I don't see what the excitement is about with reputation - the less you think about your own the better off you are!
