Apparently pantyhose are pretty crap for filters... they disrupt the airflow into the carby and kill power. Plus they still let dust through.

i was up that way earlier this afternoon , a tad damp , air flow disruption wont be effected at the legal posted speed anyway talking of that
there will be a speed camera just after the christmas hills primary school i strongly advise all to be very cautious, also a persuit car from eltham traffic will be patrolling the area almost to yea then the seymour car patrols after that , and there was talk of a bike around dixons creek area

I'll look up my book regarding the pantyhose filter comment... I remember reading about doing tests on various filters and one of them being a homemade pantyhose thing.

Has everyone got CB radios? I'm gonna put mine on the charger tonight and i'll bring it with me if others are bringing them.

Make sure you remind us all tommorow, as some won't be familar with the area and won't know when to slow down. Hopefully seeing us behaving in a large group will mean they'll leave us alone - behaving - that means you Eddie and Marcus! lol

thanks again for the heads up Ian!

...thanks for all the offers of help guys.......I have put an online order through to Unifilter this afternoon and should have a pair of new ones on my door step probably on tuesday (all of $7.80 each they were). Slim I would take you up on the generous borrow but I think I will just bring my other car. Don't want to do any more damage that what I have already inflicted on the old girl . Cya all bright and early.

Magna motor, huh? Remind him to bring a couple of bottles of oil... we may not be able to find places to buy some on the way.

Least he hasn't got a slippy clutch like i have.

Getting a bit sick of pulling the damn gbox off especially since it eats into the money i want to send on the 3tgte rebuild. Ah well just gotta get my arse into gear and sell off the mx6 so i can pay off my folks and spend the rest on pistons, head work gasket and bearing sets, block bore, balancing, r&p setup, h/c/p front setup and undecided rear end setup (r31??) and then the engineering. $$$ for fun.....
