How do you know it doesn't have the little valve in it?
I recently bought a genuine toyota oil filter and it doesn't have the little valve in it to stop the oil draining out.
Do you think it should have one??
Last Z418 Ryco filter I bought did have one. Seems a bit odd.
I think I might go and buy another Ryco.

I am the sun
Because I can't see it. Usually you look in the screw thread hole and it can be seen.Originally Posted by Dale

it will definately have one you just cant see it i would keep a genuine filter over ryco crap anyday
a filter is a filter, toyota genuine isnt worth the money over ryco, unless your getting the filter trade, next time, i wouldnt bother.
although, always go for a filter with an anti-drainback valve in it over one without. luckily the cheaper ryco versions have this valve.
