7mge Genuine oil filter

I recently bought a genuine toyota oil filter and it doesn't have the little valve in it to stop the oil draining out.
Do you think it should have one??

Last Z418 Ryco filter I bought did have one. Seems a bit odd.

I think I might go and buy another Ryco.

Because I can't see it. Usually you look in the screw thread hole and it can be seen.

Or maybe my memory is playing tricks with me again.

it will definately have one you just cant see it i would keep a genuine filter over ryco crap anyday

a filter is a filter, toyota genuine isnt worth the money over ryco, unless your getting the filter trade, next time, i wouldnt bother.

although, always go for a filter with an anti-drainback valve in it over one without. luckily the cheaper ryco versions have this valve.
