Um... what makes you think you need another one?
Hi guys was working on my conversion and noticed that the crank balencer on my 1J was easy to spin and then came of very easily i was wondering will toyota have one of these balencers or will i have to go somewhere else?
Cheers Pete
Um... what makes you think you need another one?
I am the sun
do you mean the outside had separated from the inside? (common problem).
From toyota they're generally fairly expensive... aftermarket could be the way to go.
yea thats what it has done where abouts do you reckon i could get one i did see something about those billet pulleys might see if i can try find them agian.
Cheers Pete
Titan Motorsports and Boost Logic both do lightened crank pulleys for the JZ engines
Thanks Mate
make sure you get one with a rubber section in it, the solid alloy ons have been a source of dispute as to whether they're good or bad.
best paying an extra $100 or so and getting a dampened version, rather than a full alloy and worrying about it.
Elmo.
yea the ones from titan and boost are solid alloy so i think im goin to have to go down to toyota and see how much they will slug me for genuine its gonna sting as im goin to do 100k service and change water pump to non hydralic.
Pete

got an alloy underdrive pulley from ebay for 27 dollars.
measured the size of the required belt in 2 minutes and picked it up direct from repco.
its not much of a hassle to change the belt size so i would worry about that.
my only question would be why you would want an OVERDRIVE pulley?
MX83 2JZ-GTE!!
