First 8 days of maps uploaded and put on the first post. Accommodation still to be sorted, but I've put some of the available fuel stops in, and some of the sights. If you have any recommended changes, let me know.

Day 1: don't head to Mt Gambier via Kingston and Robe go via Keith and Naracoorte (and the Coonawarra region) the Road from Tailem Bend to Kingston is dead set the worst highway I have ever travelled, not just a bad surface but also nothing to see... ever!

If you expect to see the coorong, you a very misguided... there is nothing near the road except sand and salt bush... seriously.

The other road in comparison is glorious. Heaps of native vegitation, mallee shrub area and vine yards. I'd also add Tailem as a fuel stop... just in case. I believe the BP there as Ultimate.

Fair enough, I was just looking for an alternative route, I think that was the route we went last time. Nothing particularly wrong with it, just something different. I suppose if the other is as you describe, then it's not worth changing

the only reason to head that way is to see the big lobster... and even then, it's just one more 'big' thing to cross off the list.

Meningie would be interesting, if only to see just how empty the lakes are and just how dire the whole Murrary River situation is... yep leave it like that.

I've already stipulated that I'm not going out of my way to see any over sized paper mache creations.

Haha. I swear "No deviations have been made to these routes in the interest of seeing big things". Seriously, any deviations from the direct route have been to make it more fun, or to make it a different route to what we did previously.

    Hi,

Is that Misfit chick coming over?

I don't think I've met her yet, and it would be cool to speak to her about her nice 28. Better still, she can bring the car over so we can all check it out!

Oh, and that pseudo-gay, quazi-intellectual dude Clinty... is he coming over also? He's a good value person.
