cant help with a cable as the 2TG had the factory linkages which were sold off to make way for the 1G. i've used an '84 cressida cable but the intake is on the other side of the engine.
when ive set thermos [on engines which operate normally] i just run them to normal temp, shut down, wait 1-2 mins then turn ignition back on [for power to fans] and adjust the sensor until they switch on. the hot water from the block will rise to the sensor at a slightly higher temp than normal.
the 2T-G and 18R-G do not have a return line [see diags]. t union for front carb and elbow union for rear. if ur running the std fuel pump u won't have trouble, else get a press reg.
1. There's no point arguing with an idiot. They'll just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience
2. Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference
Hey guys,
cheers for all the help. Its made my uncertainties clear. I got the accelerator cable sorted with an SV11 item, it maybe a touch too long but it loops round once and lines up nicely, the cable extrusions at the ends are just the right length to line up the pedal and the carby nicely.
Thanks for sorting out the balance tube issue. Connected it together and no worries so far.
Looks like i may need to invest in a fuel reg. Running no return line with the electric fuel pump im currently running seems very dodgy.
Thermo fan is all sorted now which is great.
Cheers everyone for all the help. Special mention to shelldrake for the great help in getting it running and for his great advice.
