heres some pics of an AE101 GZE block, perhaps you can compare the bolt holes to your GE block..

which flavour is your block?
Hi,
I have a twin cam 16 and I'm pondering adding an SC12 and GZE induction setup.
Let's not worry about management, fuelling and compression yet - please don't give me lectures on the folly of the approach .. not what I need/am after.
I haven't had time to measure up my friends 4AGZE (I just finished rebuilding the thing with madrolla68) but I'm curious as to whether anyone has bolted the supercharger and induction setup from a GZE onto a big port GE.
The crank pulleys appear similiar (my twinky is without p/s or a/c) so I'm guessing the supercharger drive pulley may line up with the outer 5 rib pulley on my GE but obviously the alternator is on the other side and needs to be relocated with the GZE mounts if possible.
Would the block be cast (and indeed tapped?) with the mounts for the GZE bracketry?
I have used the search function and didn't come up with much .. these are all things I can and will investigate but I wanted to see if anyone else had done a similiar conversion first.
Thanks again guys and girls,
Ben

AU$TRALIA... come and stay and PAY and PAY!!! The moral high horse of the world!
many people have put the s/c set-up onto stock 4age's (happens quite a lot overseas). everything on a 4agze will bolt to a 4age, same 'basic' block and bolt boss's. all the brakets are interchangable.
hardest part would be sourceing all the gze gear seperate from the engine though i would think.
Thanks guys .. exactly the informative helpful answers I wanted! I expected a whole bunch of "it'll blow up" crap.
Cheers,
Ben
change the pistons and there's no difference anyway
have fun

That's about the gist of it
Thanks!

the pulleys are different diameter (na is smaller) but certainly they do line up.
and anyway if your running it on high comp na pistons then the smaller crank pulley will result in slightly lower boost which from a longevity point of view probaly isnt a bad idea.
i was under the impression that a gze with a single turbo conversion is the sh*t

Unfortunately i was hoping someone that had actually done it and WOULD know if the STD belt or a slightly shorter one would do the job had answered but yes we can do the string bit.Originally Posted by oldcorollas

a slighty shorter one is required, i cant remmeber the size off hand sorry but i know for sure the standard one was unsuitable.
There are a few articles around about fitting a smallport throttle to a GZE as it is bigger bore. (ae86dc and tc.org both have it)
Also recently read about a guy in NZ who put an SC12 on his 20V and kept the blow low with stock pistons and good management.

it would have to be aron the 5PK965 - 5PK975 length at a guess?Originally Posted by TooF
