    JZA80 Supra 2JZ-GTE / JZZ30 Soarer 1JZ-GTE Water Pump (Viscous/non-hydro)
Part number 16100-49846 for which I paid $119.20 from Penrith Toyota with club discount in January 2005
    JZA80 Supra 2JZ-GE / JZZ31 Soarer 2JZ-GE Water Pump (viscous/non-hydro)
    Part number 16100-49837

JZZ30 1JZ-GTEs never left the factory with the combo hydraulic/water pump - they were found on JZX90 Chaser and JZA70 Supra 1JZ-GTE factory engines.

A few pics of the JZA70/JZX90 Combo Hydraulic/Water Pump

Yeah, the pump is still around $160, but the pulley makes up the rest of that slack, and is around $160 on its own. I phoned up a while ago enquiring about this for another friend and the P&S wouldnt give me trade, so retail on the pump was like $190 and pulley was about $185 :S

I call BS on that one. petespipes had what was claimed to be a 1ggte pulley sent to him, and I physically held both in my hand. The PCD for the bolt pattern's and size is all wrong. Do you have first hand experience that I'm unaware of? (I'm not 100% sure that it was a 1ggte pulley so I maybe incorrect)

As for the pulley, I had a JZX81, JZZ30, and JZA80 engine all kicking around, and I can't actually remember which pulley I used.... But one of them fitted.
I had to replace the JZX81 pump since it also is a hydraulic one aswell.

160$ is how much I paid (trade price) 6 months ago. or ~$190 full price.

I got the JZZ30 pulley from a fellow toymods member for 40$

My only minor gripe about the pump is that the studs at the rear of the pump (that connect to the stainless steel pipe) are _barely long enough_ for the nuts to screw on. Not sure if it was only my pump, or it's common for all of them.

    BUMP!!!!

back to the future from 2006 !

Got told today by a exclusive , usually quite intelligent parts store that their aftermarket version of the 2JZGTE/GE pump fits.

and i was told the GE version of theirs is same as GTE

can anyone remember what the EXACT problem with the GE version that causes them not to fit a GTE engine ?

I suspect the front section / pump bit is the same.

    The rear section isn't tho.

I'll take some pics for you when I get home.

    In short
xJZ-GTE rear section from NORMAL water pump (JZZ30, JZA80)
xJZ normal water pump front section and pulley.

so 2JZGE front is compatable with 2JZGTE/1JZGTE (non hydro) rear which is compatable with 1JZGTE engine from Z30 or A70

But if the 1JZ/2JZ has hydro rear, that must be replaced with 2JZGTE/1JZGTE non-hydro rear

    excellent
