I have an extension with a sender hanging off it and what do you know, checked it last night and it was a little loose. Took it off and tightened it all up and it is good now. Thanks for the reminder though

Haha, I was at Vasse Felix a couple of days ago. It's a stop I make every time I go down.

    Damn, that's an expensive bolt!

speaking of little creatures i have about 14 or 15 pints of it in the bottom of my pantry... hahah...

good topic though, as im about to whack a sender into my 1JZ too for my pressure gauge.. its a straight screw in, looks to be the same size as the sump plug but that would be a silly location wouldn't it

So is it supposed to be a screw in replacement for a 1J?
The oil pressure switch thread is a LOT smaller than a sump plug thread (1/8 BSPT I believe)
If it is a direct screw in, then I'm interested. Tell us more...

    So I finally installed it.
I went with GT's / Lance's suggestion. I managed to get the bolt for a bit over $50 - but in the end saved me a lot of hassle. The good old 5MGE sensor just screwed straight in!
    Before and after shots below.
Thanks for all the help guys.
