    Default KE70 Sway bar

    Hi,

I am looking for a sway bar for my ke70 and the sizes avaliable are not that exciting. Does anyone know if a ae86 front sway bar will fit a ke70?

I dunno about the front but i heard rear way bars from a tercel bolt into *e7* corollas and are something like 17mm. I am keen to see if it is true..

I did have a heavy front sway bar for a KE70. Think it was 24mm.

Vague memory tells me I sold it a while back, but can check over Easter. Also had a rear, but think thats gone too.

Pretty sure it was a Pedders bar, so check them out.

The Whiteline front swaybar will bolt up directly to a KE70/AE71.
There's one in my AE71 as we speak. Swapped it straight over from my old 86...

Pretty much all suspension stuff is interchangeable minus the front strut inserts. The 86 has larger diameter front struts. Rear shocks, springs etc etc all fit....

    ok this is by deductions:
TA-022 has a ae86/ke70 front cross member in his car
the control arms of a standard ae86 are the same as an ra28 ie30cm
there are 2 swaybars that i know of that are 24 mm upgrades over standard sizes
an upgrade for Nath's setup of ae86 rack using i assume to be standard 30 cm control arms was a bar from a t-18.
as this was a direct replacement for the ra28 bar, this would mean an ra28 bar could fit also.
as ra28 is the same as ra40 front then the standard upgrade for an ra40 is MX62 courtesy of Brett_celicacoupe (and i have also verified this by fitting one to my ra40).

SO.... try an MX62 or T18 at the local wreckers and see how close it fits, both are 24mm and both would be a hell of a lot cheaper than whiteline/red ranger or whatever they are called now.
