the ozclubbie guys use a 555 timer to gernerate a constant ground pulse signal to raise the revlimit when they dont have a pulsed output from the speedo.

This is the 555 timer circuit that Richard (LMR052) on Ozclubbies came up with, apparently several of the guys are using this circuit successfully.

    Cheers,
    Julian.

apparently it should be able to be built small enough to fit into a plastic film cannister (does anyone still have these??)

yeah the guy doing it is going to put it a standard 12v relay case like you would use on your spotlights or something like that.
so it should be pretty neat.

    Hi Guys,

have had this cct built and works a treat. It gave my 86kw Bluetop engine an increase in revs from about 6700 to 7500. Don't know about the top end speed limit as yet because I haven't been on a track that will let me get to this speed - Normally I do Hillclimb events.

Nice small unit that fits basically in a matchbox size plastic box.

    thanks for your knowledge transfer....

    Alex.

Cool, i thought the 16v 4AG's were limited to 7200.
Does the 7 rib bigport have the same rev limit? If so, I'll have have to make one of these for sure!
    Good. Fast. Cheap.

Right, 14 - Ignition - No IGF signal to ECU for 4 consecutive IGT signal during engine running - Open/short in IGF/IGT signal from igniter to ECU, Igniter malfunction, ECU
If ECU has no IGf signal - it not pulse injectors, to prevent cat overheating.

That has got to be one of the most inventive modifications i've ever heard. This should in theory work on almost any Toyota vehicle.
