mz21 fuel gauge flashing

just the other night i turned on my car and found that my digital fuel light was flashing for about 10 seconds then reads the level at half full. after that everytime i turn on the car it reads the fuel dodgy. it tells me that it is either empty or something else whch is wrong. its a full talk of fuel. if anyone has had a problem like this i would like to hear some feedback, im thinking it could be an error code but i cant find a reference to it at all.

i got same prob with a soarer i just wired up

we put the newer vvti dash in it and it plays up

we put the std older dash and its ok

maybe theres a prob in the dash

they do fuk up as they get older

Had the problem on two of my soarers , Its the fuel sender in the fuel tank , One of mine needed replacing and the other i just removed the sender and freed up the float and re0installed.

sweet thanx for that, yeah ive got another sender in a wrecked soarer and from working pulling bits off that its very easy to get at aswell, cheers.
