    Default 7mge dizzy question, need new oil seals.

    has anybody ever pulled the shaft out of a 7mge dizzy, i need to change the seals

    yep...to easy, undo the timing bolt nut, unplug the dizzy and slide it out,

    make sure you mark the dizzy timing marks in a few spots, (so they all line up when re-fitting)....also mark the rotater...(brain freeze...cant think of name...) in the spot that its in...use a permanent marker/whiteout... or similar

    take the dizzy up to the local auto shop, and get a matching 'o' ring and a small tube of gasket sealant...

    put the new seal on, throw a bit of gasket goo round the seal and throw it back in making sure you get all the marks lined up....

    im sorry i wasnt clear i mean the ones inside the dizzy, i want to pull the shaft out that runs through the centre of it.

    wreckers one are all the same, all leak oil.

    Use a pin punch to remove the roll pin holding the gear to the shaft, then press the shaft out of the housing. You can buy a new seal from your local seal and bearing vendor.

    i cant see a pin, are you sure it has one in the gear

    No not sure, I know the 7MGTE CPS has one. What locates the gear on the shaft?

    Hmm, TSRM isn't too clear, maybe the top bits need to come off...

    yeah i looked at that, got to be something to do with the gear, i cant see any other way
